Goldsand implements a Halal staking protocol that solves the issues in existing staking products such as Lido and RocketPool.

Goldsand avoids any staking income from impermissible transactions. Goldsand achieves this goal as follows:

  1. Goldsand validators inspect all the transactions in the Ethereum mempool before proposing a block

  2. These transactions are simulated to check if they interact with any impermissible applications

  3. Any impermissible transactions are blacklisted and ignored. Goldsand proposes blocks that only contain halal and permissible transactions.

The transaction filtration process happens with the Goldsand transaction builder. The diagram below shows a simplified architecture of the Gldsand product. For more details, please check the

When users stake their ETH with Goldsand, the ETH is exclusively used by validators that propose blocks intentionally excluding all interest-based transactions. The Halal staking works without compromising on any yield when compared to other leading staking providers.

Does this filtering affect the staking yield?

The short answer is no, there is minimal effect of filtering impermissible transactions with Goldsand. Any impermissible transaction is replaced with a permissible transaction in the proposed block.
