How much of the Ethereum L1 transactions are impermissible?

A more detailed analysis of the percentage of impermissible applications and fees paid by these transactions will be published. Our current estimates indicate that the number estimates show between 30,000 to 100,000 daily impermissible transactions on the Ethereum L1

These transactions represent between 3-10% of the daily L1 transactions

Are the Goldsand smart contracts upgradable?

Yes, the Goldsand smart contracts use a proxy pattern to allow for expanding the functionality of the Goldsand staking protocol, e.g., launching a Liquid Staking Token (LST), without requiring the users to withdraw and re-deposit their ETH.

Do you run your own block builder and relayer?

We currently work with a top-3 block builder on Ethereum to run a specialized builder that enforces the Goldsand filtration process. The block builder receives the list of blacklisted addresses from the Goldsand team and filters transactions based on this list. The block builder is connected to the Goldsand validator using a custom relayer.

What do you do if there are non-public impermissible applications?

Currently, Goldsand filters impermissible transactions from applications that have more than $50M in TVL. Smaller protocols and non-public smart contracts are not filtered. We can estimate the fees paid by such protocols based on the activity of similar blacklisted protocols. We purify part of the staking income that Goldsand receives to account for the difficulty of filtering all impermissible transactions. This part of the staking income is donated to charities.
