InshAllah (fka Goldsand) implements a Halal staking protocol that solves the issues in existing staking products
InshAllah avoids any staking income from impermissible transactions. InshAllah achieves this goal as follows:
InshAllah validators inspect all unconfirmed transactions before proposing a block
These transactions are simulated to check if they interact with any impermissible applications
Any impermissible transactions are blacklisted and ignored. InshAllah proposes blocks that only contain halal and permissible transactions.
The transaction filtration process happens within the validator node. You can review the performance of the InshAllah validator node here.
Does this filtering affect the staking yield?
The short answer is no, there is minimal effect of filtering impermissible transactions with InshAllah. Any impermissible transaction is replaced with a permissible transaction in the proposed block.
